As the Founder and Managing Director of Marklinica, a leading healthcare communications agency, Rana has driven impactful marketing and branding campaigns across over 30 countries including the MENA region, the Gulf, the USA, Canada, and Europe.


Current Role and Leadership Impact

Rana Mohsen currently leads Marklinica, a pioneering healthcare communications agency she founded in 2017, where she serves as Managing Director and Creative Strategist. Under her leadership, the agency has become a trusted partner for pharmaceutical, cosmeceutical, and medical brands across the MENA region, the Gulf, Europe, and North America. She oversees the development of strategic brand identities, regulatory-compliant packaging, and integrated marketing campaigns tailored to the healthcare sector’s unique challenges.

In parallel with her agency work, Rana plays a significant role as a certified business mentor across several regional and global programs. At Giza Systems Foundation, she mentors Egyptian entrepreneurs and early-stage startups, helping them refine their branding strategies, storytelling, and market approach. She is also a certified mentor with USAID’s Women Entrepreneurs Network (WEN), where she has supported over 250 women across Egypt since 2019, offering guidance on business development, marketing, and overcoming local cultural and operational challenges.

Rana is a key mentor with UN Women Europe and Central Asia, supporting 65 women-led startups across 13 countries under the Women EXPO Program. She also contributes to VC4A (Venture Capital for Africa) by advising African entrepreneurs on how to build sustainable and scalable businesses through effective brand and communication strategies. Through GWNET (Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition), she empowers Australian women leaders working on global energy solutions. Additionally, Rana provides mentorship at Startups Without Borders, where she helps migrant and refugee entrepreneurs strengthen their brands and scale internationally.

Through her work across these programs, Rana has empowered over 300 women and 250 startups, driving growth, visibility, and resilience for purpose-driven ventures in emerging markets and regulated industries.

She was selected to join the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) by the U.S. Department of State, where she connected with global health leaders in innovation, entrepreneurship, and women’s empowerment, which gave her the opportunity to expand her work in the U.S.

She was also selected to join the Partnering in Business with Germany program, hosted by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), where she represented her agency in Germany and built strategic connections with European companies in the healthcare and bio sectors.
