Dr. Fatih Mehmet Gül is an international healthcare executive with more than 20 years of experience across the GCC, Europe, and the Middle East. As Country CEO of Apex Health Qatar, he leads a growing healthcare portfolio while advancing operational excellence, digital transformation, and patient-centred care.

Leading Healthcare at Scale

At Apex Health Qatar, Dr. Gül oversees more than 4,050 employees and 800+ beds, spanning The View Hospital, the Korean Medical Center, and healthcare projects under development. His responsibilities include strategic growth, PPP initiatives, commissioning, operational performance, digital transformation, and stakeholder engagement.

Previously, as CEO of The View Hospital, he strengthened executive and clinical alignment, advanced international accreditation readiness, developed digital health initiatives, and enhanced patient feedback systems.

His leadership at Fakeeh Care Group included serving as CEO of Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital Jeddah and CEO of Fakeeh University Hospital Dubai. In Dubai, he oversaw the development and commissioning of a USD 500 million healthcare project, achieving JCI accreditation within its first year and establishing academic and clinical partnerships.

From Commissioning to Transformation

Dr. Gül has led complex healthcare projects from investment and construction through commissioning and operations. At NEOM, he helped commission a 50-bed hospital, moving from construction handover to surgical operations within months while establishing teams, policies, licensing, and digital systems.

Earlier in his career, he contributed to healthcare investment, private equity assessments, regional expansion, and hospital management across Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the wider MENA region.

Championing Connected Care

Beyond executive leadership, Dr. Gül advocates for healthcare that combines technology with human connection. As the author of Connected Care, he explores how digital transformation can enhance rather than replace the human element of healthcare.

He also serves as an Honorary Professor at UCL Global Business School for Health and hosts The Chief Healthcare Officer podcast, extending his contribution to healthcare education and leadership.

His work has earned recognition including Forbes Top 50 Healthcare Leaders selections and the Newsweek Global Hospital CEO Circle, alongside awards for healthcare cost containment, CSR, and patient experience.
