At Tesla Energy, Tammer increased the Injury-Free Event Rate from 85% to over 97% and trained 1,000+ employees, supervisors and leaders across multi-site operations. At Alliance Material Handling, he reduced the Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) by 84%, from 2.03 to 0.326, through an enterprise safety transformation.
Operational Efficiency and Cost Optimization
He reduced PPE program costs by 29% through vendor optimization and operational improvements while maintaining high safety standards. He also built enterprise QHSE management systems from the ground up and led multi-site safety programs across North America.
Large-Scale Project Leadership
Tammer supported major capital projects including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), utility and commercial solar PV installations, and EV charging infrastructure across North America. His oversight extended to Gigafactory Texas, Gigafactory Nevada, the Fremont Factory, R&D facilities and warehouses. He also led EHS operations for the historic Kapolei Energy Storage Project in Hawaii, a 185 MW / 565 MWh Tesla Megapack system that replaced Hawaii’s final coal plant — one of the most significant milestones in global renewable energy history.
During the catastrophic 2023 Maui wildfires, Tammer supported Tesla’s emergency ground operations as Tesla and SpaceX mobilized a joint response, deploying Tesla Powerwall community power stations and distributing more than 650 Starlink satellite kits to over 40 organizations across the island, restoring power and communications for shelters, first responders, and displaced families in coordination with FEMA’s federally declared disaster operations.
